As Founder and President of Resolute, Rod helps companies use technology to their best advantage by assessing their needs and developing efficiencies in processes and systems.
During a career that has spanned over 20 years, he has held senior IT positions including Chief Information Officer, Vice President of Asset Management and Technology, Vice President of Financial Services System and Director of Architecture. He has overseen numerous large-scale projects in the financial services, agriculture and insurance sectors.
Rod has come to adopt the philosophy that a person who is fulfilled and supported in the workplace will do the best possible work for the client. He is a respected leader who has assembled a team of IT professionals who understand that technology is integral to strategic business planning.
He has completed several programs that include computer analyst programmer, business administration and information technology management.
Rod manages a work-life balance with a healthy dose of snowmobiling, mountain biking and time on his Sea-Doo.
Kirby Betle - Manager, Delivery Management Kirby has over 20 years of experience as an IT professional in the financial services industry and federal government and has managed both an applications development and an information systems department. He has over 10 years of experience in providing project delivery services for solutions to large financial services companies in Canada and the United States.
Solutions have included complete back/mid-office platforms to client and advisor-facing web applications. Other areas of expertise include system architecture and analysis, information technology strategic planning, data analysis and vendor management.
He holds a computer technology certificate, a master's certificate in project management and is a project management professional (PMP).
Summer is short in Winnipeg so when the warm weather hits, Kirby is either on his Sea-Doo or pulling someone on an inner tube with his boat.
Sal Troia - Manager, Infrastructure Managed Services Sal has over 20 years of experience as an IT professional working primarily in the financial services and insurance industries. He has experience in infrastructure management, architecture design, data centre facilities management, 24x7 operations and support as well as IT strategic planning, budgeting and resourcing. He has over 10 years of management experience overseeing teams responsible for infrastructure project and service delivery.
He holds a bachelor of science degree and has completed several programs related to information technology management.
Sal spends the majority of his free time with his young family as well as volunteering his time to the Dante Alighieri Society, a local non-profit organization responsible for furthering the Italian language and culture in Winnipeg.
Brian Barnabe - Manager, Application Management Services Brian has over 19 years of experience as an IT professional in a number of different sectors including financial services, insurance, telecommunications, public safety, legal and government organizations. He has provided systems architecture, analysis, design, implementation and project management services to both small and large institutions in Canada and the United States. He has extensive experience in all facets of the software delivery cycle including initial discovery and pre-sales support, proposal preparation and presentation, requirements analysis, design, implementation, delivery and post-implementation technical and business support.
He has holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science from the University of Manitoba and has an ITIL foundation certificate in IT service management.
In his spare time, Brian likes to spend time with his family and works to feed the score of animals on their hobby farm.
Alan Crocker - Manager, Systems Integration and Application Development Al believes that highly successful organizations foster a positive environment where people can contribute, grow and share a sense of belonging. He believes that Resolute provides an outstanding home for talented and dedicated team members whether they are experienced pros or new apprentices learning their craft.
Al has over 25 years experience as an IT professional. He has provided systems architecture, analysis, design and implementation services to large financial services institutions in Canada and the United States as well as to telecommunications, public safety and government organizations.
He has extensive experience in team management and leadership; technical, application and solution architectures; software design and implementation; software development methodology and development practices. He has managed and led a number of outstanding software development teams that have produced successful commercial software products.
An experienced educator and coach, Al spent two years as a computer science lecturer at the University of Manitoba and has been involved for many years as a volunteer coach for football, hockey and the soccer teams of his two teenage sons.
Al holds a bachelor’s (honours) and master’s of science degree in computer science, both from the University of Manitoba. He was awarded the Gold Medal in Science Honours for his undergraduate degree and an NSERC post-graduate scholarship to pursue his master’s degree.
In his spare time, Al enjoys family trips, cycling, playing hockey and following his sons' hockey and football teams. |
